Our therapeutic language is English as first or second language, although some of our clinicians speak Greek, Dutch, Arabic and Russian. We can also work with other languages including Swiss, Swedish and Mandarin.

Vasilios Silivistris


Dr Vasilios Silivistris is from a Greek-Cypriot family and was born in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa. Most of his education he obtained in the United Kingdom, where he lived for many years.

Vasilios is a United Kingdom trained Psychotherapist, Counselling Practitioner, and Clinical Supervisor who is insightful, intuitive, emphatic and perceptive with excellent communicative and interpersonal skills. Moreover, Vasilios is a trainer, writer, and author who regularly writes for the media in Cyprus and as a guest presenter on LIVE radio.

Vasilios is a specialist in the fields of Addiction, Trauma/Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Stress Reduction Management. He is trained as an integrative therapist incorporating, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) and follows a Humanistic and person-centred philosophy. Vasilios was responsible for training the City and Hackney Alcohol and Drugs Counselling Service, in North London.

In his practice, Vasilios always abides by the code of ethics and practice outlined by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

Dr Vasilios Silivistris is Patron of the Cyprus Samaritans, Fellow of the Royal Society of Health (Patron HM Queen Elizabeth II) (FRSH).



Meet Niegel

Nigel Ratcliffe

Nigel Ratcliffe

Nigel Ratcliffe started his career as a care social worker in Essex, working with difficult teenagers and later managing a child protection team. For four years (85-89), he worked providing services to opiate addicts and their families at the Southend Drug and Alcohol Advisory Service. From 1991 to 1993, Nigel worked as the Director of one of Priory Hospitals’ addiction treatment programmes, providing and managing in-patient treatment services.

From 1993 to 2012, he worked at London Transports’ company drug and alcohol programme. He was appointed to set it up and manage it overseeing staff treatment programmes, on site testing and management training. The programme became an acknowledged world leader in workplace services. Nigel lectures in this area to this date.

In the past 20 years, Nigel has also been running a private practice offering counselling to people in crisis and early recovery. He is a specialist in the fields of addiction and child protection, providing reports to Family Proceedings Courts.

A keen sportsman, Nigel is president of Ryman League football club. He’s also a runner of marathons/half marathons and has a best London time of 3h30 albeit many years ago.
